Sim FAQ
Q. Do I need to read the books to play here?
A. Absolutely not, we hope that our web site would give enough information to allow you to get up and started without any reading. If you want to research more without reading we have provided some helpful links.
Q. Who can join a group? Are they limited to certain castes?
A. Groups are not necessarily limited, however before a Gold joins the rebellion please have a good back story to support why you are breaking the social norm and realize that there could be In Character consequences to breaking such a societal taboo. Also Gold houses have other castes that serve within it. So a Pink might be attached to a Gold house though they would not have the surname. They would have to abide in their place.
Q. Does my avatar’s hair and eyes have to match their caste?
A. As much as possible. However we do understand wanting creativity. There are hair dyes and wigs in the future, as well as colored contacts.
Q. What sort of clothing is acceptable for the sim?
A. A variety of clothes for different castes. Golds and Silver fashion might reflect modernized or old time Ancient Rome; flowing robes, togas, a variety of clothes is acceptable. Blue’s would look more technicized. They have chips in their brains so they could have more computer looking fashions and all. Charcoals will look militaristic. Pinks could be dressed for pleasure and eliciting sexual desire, or within their art craft. Reds would be quite grungy, maybe steampunk looking. Q. How many characters can I create on one account?
A. While we allow alts on the same avatar, please ensure that the alt is distinguishable from your other character and use a RP talker. Limit to two characters per avatar.
Q. Can I create a non human character to play?
A. No, we have not found other species and will not be allowing other species besides humans. IE: No Pets, Furries, Drows Etc.
Q. Am I allowed a pet attachment like a horse or a griffin on sim?
A. No
Q. Are titlers or chatterers allowed?
A. Yes, please keep titlers to one line consisting of your name

Q. What's the deal with currency?
A. To make game play easy we will say that currency is parallel to US currency but distributed through data-transfers. A crypto currency. It will be up to individual players whether they have access to that currency. Mid and Upper tiers would obviously have credits but reds and pinks can decide for themselves if they live and work for rations or for poverty wages. We trust our players to keep their story realistic to the environment.

Q. Is this a Gor sim?
A. No, Howler’s Void is not a Gor sim, will never be a Gor sim, and we will not allow any Gor related activities within the sim. There are plenty of Gor sims around for everyone to enjoy and partake in. Howler’s Void is set in it’s own universe that is not related to the Gor universe or books in any way.
Reds FAQ

Q. Does my character have to be short?
A. Reds are shorter than Golds and Charcoals who tower above others. Because they were miners for many generations they are shorter than other castes. So short answer, yes a bit but you don't have to be so short your avatar looks weird.

Q. Does my Red have to be a miner?
A. No, reds work many jobs from mining, to janitorial, to even maid service and other manual labor jobs. Please see the Red Caste page for a list of other jobs they could hold.

Q. Does my red have to be part of the Sons of Ares?
A. No, they do not have to be part of the rebels. You can be owned, working in the public service works, or deep within the mines. We need reds that are not a part of it, or maybe sympathize a bit with them or have gone completely over! However, if you enjoy action and various rebellious plots. Please join up!
Pinks FAQ

Q. How are Pinks born?
A. Pinks can be bred a few ways, through insemination and surrogate wombs. There might be siblings however they would not necessarily know. So, the pairing of pink DNA would be done by Golds and Silvers who would decide what traits they would like to match together. Much like breeding any animal, you have a female with desirable traits and a male so you would combine their egg and sperm for a child. When they are 18 and graduating from the gardens they might be auctioned or sold to a Gold House.
Q. Will my character have to play in a brothel?
A. Yes, to start out in. Role-play can be done so that Pinks can be bought to live in a upper tier house, Gold or Silver only.
Q. Can my avatar have a different hair color other than pink?
A. Pinks can have any color hair as long as it appeals to those they serve.
Q. Do pinks have last names?
A. No, they don't.
Q. Are Pinks allowed to work the streets on their own and if so, do they get to keep the money they make?
A. Pinks can technically work on the streets but they would be subject to arrest/imprisonment and more. There is an illusion maintained and Empire would not want to see it on the street as our society is to look perfect. There would be In Character consequences, as in any decision made for your character, having them work independently on the streets.
Blues FAQ

Q. What kind of tattoos can Blues wear and do they have to be blue?
A. Other colored tattoos are acceptable given the restraints of SL but we prefer they appear cyber or SciFi like in appearance. Check out our shopping channel in discord and our snazzy Pinterest for places to shop!
Q. In the story Blues are bald, can my character have hair or do they have to be bald?
A. Baldness is optional or you can play a bald character who favors wigs!
Charcoal FAQ
Q. Can I use scripted weapons?
A. You can have it show but do not use any push weapons or scripts as they can contribute to unnecessary lag.

Q. What weapons are allowed on Sim?
A. Please see our Weapons & Combat rules, which has a list of allowed weapons that are usable on sim. When in doubt, ask an admin!

Q. I want to play a Legionaire! How can I join them?
A. We will not be having Legion within the role-play on sim. However, one can have the legion within their background. Remember, legion requires 20 years of service, the school graduates at age 20 (For sim purposes) Please age accordingly.
Silver FAQ
Q. How can my character join a house?
A. There are a variety of ways to meet and join a house. Ask in the OOC Channel if any houses are accepting and talk to house lead about your character and if you are a match for their house.
Q. Can I start my own house and bring a group of friends in?
A. Absolutely, talk to one of those annoying sim creators about your house.
Q. Can I use a surname for my character from the books?
A. Yes, as long as you using a surname does not affect a Canon character.

Q: How much money can I have?
A. Silvers are the richest, which means that they hold more money then even Gold. Golds will go to silvers to take out loans for parties, space ships.. armor etc. Your Family name will have a set value, nothing is infinite. You must also have a way to keep earning this money.

Q: What do the Priests do?
A. Priests will preside over the rituals for Golds who go into war. They will also help to indoctrinate those who have been 'lost to Society's ways'. There are currently no 'set' rituals, so if one was made to offer 'good luck' for a certain time it could certainly be brought to the admin!

Gold FAQ
Q. How can my character join a house?
A. There are a variety of ways to meet and join a house. Ask in the OOC Channel if any houses are accepting and talk to house lead about your character and if you are a match for their house.

A. Absolutely, talk to one of those annoying sim creators about your house.
Q. Can I use a surname for my character from the books?
A. Yes, as long as you using a surname does not affect a Canon character.
Q. Is there going to be a Governor for each House (Mars, Venus, Luna)?
A. Not at this time. We will have the senate and the speaker of the senate as played characters.
Q. What Planetary Houses are available to create a family under?
A. Any that do not affect a canon character. Design your own lore or use one that works for you.
